Demolition time!

Our dear friend/renter Adam bought his own house, and while we miss him greatly, it's high time for some more space in this house!

We are currently in the "demo" phase of turning this ol' apartment into family room and mud room/laundry room!

We are just hoping to be done by June! Here's Luke tearing out the kitchen sink, while I've been spending most of my free time dreaming on do-it-yourself home blogs!

A long time ago...

Isla is into telling stories. Tonight she "read" the instructions for installing the new doorbell she and daddy picked out at home depot!

In case you can't hear, this is what she says...

"A long time ago there was a screwdriver, and ummm this right here--look at the picture!"

Updates Galore--

It is spring, finally, here in Cattletracks, and we are enjoying it to the fullest! Isla got her first grass stains doing yard work with Lindsay this week, and is poking a little tooth out as well!

Ok, elephant in the room--it's been awhile. With that taken care of, an explanation of the video above. Noel and Heidi visited Lindsay and me in Carlsbad over spring break. With too much sun and just enough kabobs, Noel and I broke out into a horrific version of one our favorite U2 songs, One. Isla was infatuated with Noel, the piano man, and it turned out to be a pretty entertaining event. We have a good chunk of clips with various songs sung...this captures the moment best, especially with Lindsay singing harmony.

We had the chance to go "backstage" at the San Diego Zoo thanks to a coworker with connections! Her son, Bill, works with the giraffes and rhinoceres and gave us quite a tour.

Lindsay and I celebrated our last night in Carlsbad with a fun dinner. Lindsay kicked out a great pasta dish, the night was gorgeous, pure magic!

FUN, FUN, FUN...Some random pictures from the last few weeks.
