Updates Galore--
Ok, elephant in the room--it's been awhile. With that taken care of, an explanation of the video above. Noel and Heidi visited Lindsay and me in Carlsbad over spring break. With too much sun and just enough kabobs, Noel and I broke out into a horrific version of one our favorite U2 songs, One. Isla was infatuated with Noel, the piano man, and it turned out to be a pretty entertaining event. We have a good chunk of clips with various songs sung...this captures the moment best, especially with Lindsay singing harmony.
We had the chance to go "backstage" at the San Diego Zoo thanks to a coworker with connections! Her son, Bill, works with the giraffes and rhinoceres and gave us quite a tour.
Lindsay and I celebrated our last night in Carlsbad with a fun dinner. Lindsay kicked out a great pasta dish, the night was gorgeous, pure magic!
FUN, FUN, FUN...Some random pictures from the last few weeks.

Video Time!
Isla and I like to get up together on Saturday mornings so that Lindsay can sleep in. We usually eat breakfast, watch the dog and cat play, and talk. This morning, I think Isla and I had our first disagreement. You may not be able to see the subtle shaking of her head no, but Lindsay and I both saw it! I posted the same video on Facebook, so if you are my friend you can see it a little larger!! (an incentive to be my friend!) Obviously we are some wacked out parents--

Another snow/ice day!
Isla has been sleeping pretty well. We get her to bed around 10pm, and she wakes up around 3am for a feeding, and then again around 6am for another one. On days where I don't have to work, father and daughter usually make their way downstairs so mommy can sleep some more. Isla then goes into the swing, and I go back to sleep on the couch--just beautiful! There is something about Isla that causes a voice swing in Lindsay and I--our voices go high when we talk to her! (As demonstrated below)
As you can see--we think she is adorable!
